CHEESES

Cypress Grove “Purple Haze” (Goat) - California

This soft, spreadable goat cheese is flavored with lavender and fennel pollen to add a touch of herbaceousness to this fresh, creamy cheese.

Parrano (Cow) – Holland

Like its two inspirations, this cheese has the creamy texture of a young Gouda but the nutty, sweet flavors of Parmesan.

Cave Aged Grafton Cheddar (Cow) – Vermont

Bound in cloth, this cheese goes into a cave for four years of aging, producing this sharp, smoky, sweet, and buttery Cheddar.

Deer Creek “The Robin” Colby (Cow) – Wisconsin

A semi-hard cheese that may have the orange hue of a Cheddar, but provides milder, sweeter flavors than its aged cousin.

Saint Nectaire (Cow) - France

St. Nectaire is a French semisoft, washed rind cheese from the Auvergne region of France. The creamy, supple, silky textured paste melts in the mouth to reveal flavors of nuts, hay, and mushroom.

“Drunken Goat” Queso de Murcia (Goat) – Spain

This semi-soft cheese is lightly salted during the curing process, then it is submerged in red wine to give it a tart acidity and smooth finish with a hint of sweetness.

Pleasant Ridge Reserve (Cow) – California

Modelled on the likes of Gruyere and Beaufort, this cheese is made from unpasteurized cow's milk. Similar to all other Alpine cheeses, Pleasant Ridge Reserve offers a creamy, nutty, and deeply flavored milky finish that comes from the use of grass-fed milk.

Stilton (Cow) – Great Britain

This is one of the best British cheeses, worthy of a sonnet. The cheese is made from locally produced cow's pasteurized milk. It is made in a cylindrical shape and allowed to form its own coat or crust. The distinctive feature of this cheese is magical blue veins radiating from the center of the cheese. It is strong but well balanced with nutty, fruity, and creamy notes.

All of these decadent selections are now available here at The Wine Emporium! Be sure to pick up some to enjoy on your homemade charcuterie board with your next wine purchase.
